Lasers and amplifiers for LIDAR
LiDAR with coherent detection has high sensitivity and high measurement accuracy. This requires the radiation source to be single-frequency with narrow linewidth and high energy. Connet has developed a series of single-frequency lasers and amplifiers for coherent detection, such as wind Doppler LiDAR.
The pulsed fiber laser series for LiDAR is based on the MOPA configuration. The pulsed fiber lasers use optimized double-shell fiber amplification technology to achieve high peak power and pulse output with pulse duration on the order of ns. Maximum optical conversion efficiency and minimal nonlinear effects minimize the spectral broadening of the pulsed signal during the amplification process. Connet Laser's LiDAR pulsed fiber laser is the ideal source for LiDAR applications such as 3D scanning, telemetry, and range finding.
Single frequency fiber lasers
The Connet CoSF-D is a low-noise, single-frequency fiber laser based on distributed feedback Bragg grating (DFB) technology. The technology provides stable single-frequency laser output with a single longitudinal mode, linear polarization and narrow linewidth.
CoSF-D has very low phase and frequency noise and low relative intensity noise (RIN). Connet uses a unique package technology to create low-noise single-frequency DFB fiber lasers with excellent wavelength stability.
Connet uses extra-cavity technology to significantly suppress the relative intensity noise (RIN) of the DFB single-frequency fiber laser, ensuring that the resonant cavity of the single-frequency fiber laser is not compromised.
Pulsed fiber lasers and amplifiers
Connet's pulsed fiber lasers are all-fiber designs and are polarization-maintained fiber lasers based on SESAM passive mode synchronization technology.
Connet's CoLID Series LiDAR short-pulse fiber lasers are fiber laser sources that provide high peak power and high pulse energy. By using a generator power amplifier (MOPA) configuration and optimized multi-stage optical gain design, high peak power and ns pulse duration are achieved.
Continuous fiber lasers and amplifiers
Connet Laser's CW fiber laser is a highly integrated, high power system source. It uses an all-fiber design and double-shell fiber pumping technology to achieve high output power with near diffraction-limited beam quality. The output power of a 1 µm CW fiber laser can be 50 W, and 20 W for a 1.5 µm laser.
Connet Laser has accumulated rich experience in fiber amplifier design and development, especially in double-shell fiber amplifier technology, such as suppressing ASE and nonlinear fiber effects. It is an ideal choice for small signal and pulsed signal amplifier applications.
QCW fiber laser
Connet Laser offers QCW fiber lasers with a standard wavelength of 1940 nm. Products with any wavelength in the 1900~2050 nm range can be customized to meet specific user requirements. Connet QCW fiber lasers can be used in industrial processing, scientific research, biomedical and other applications.
When operating in millisecond (ms) pulse mode, a near-perfect square-shaped output pulse is guaranteed. By utilizing the MOPA structure, a narrow spectral width of the output signal (<0.7 nm) and an output beam quality close to the diffraction limit are achieved.
Laser sources
Connet Laser offers a wide variety of laser sources including F-P (DFB) sources, ASE sources, SLED sources and pulsed laser sources. All Connet Laser product lines can be customized to meet specific user requirements.
Connet Laser sources are used in a variety of applications such as optical device characterization, gyroscopes, fiber lasers, optical coherence tomography, etc.
Fiber Bragg grating
Connet's high quality fiber grating reflectors are made of special double optical fiber with optimized chirped fiber Bragg grating (FBG) recording technology.
They are specially designed for 1, 1.5, 2 µm high-power continuous and pulsed fiber lasers, suitable for both single-mode and large mode-field (LMA) fiber, pump power can reach more than 3000 W for 1 µm, 50 W for 1.5 µm and 200 W for 2 µm.
Patch cords with polarization preservation
Connet uses high precision FC fiber connectors and ceramic tips for high quality polarization-enabled fiber patch cords. The operating wavelength range covers band wavelengths (350 - 900 nm), near infrared (900 - 1650 nm) and mid-infrared wavelengths (1900 - 2200 nm).
Connet uses the most rigorous process methods to carefully manufacture each polarization-supporting fiber patch cord to ensure high return loss and high polarization extinction ratio (PER).
