LightMachinery is a company specializing in the design and manufacture of lasers, optical components and optical process equipment.
The company is the world's leading manufacturer of TEA CO2 lasers, excimer lasers, compact spectrometers for scientific research and high quality optical components. LightMachinery products are used in telecommunications, semiconductors, high power lasers, scientific research, non-destructive testing, biophotonics, electronics, pharmaceutical manufacturing and materials processing.
We provide technical support and commissioning directly at the site where the equipment will be used. Our team of professionals is always ready to help you choose the scientific equipment that best suits your needs.
Optimized for demanding, precision applications. High-power, short-pulse lasers from the IMPACT series for 24/7 machining and drilling of non-metallic materials. Applications include polymer removal, mold cleaning, varnish stripping and laser isotope separation.
The material interaction of the short, powerful pulses of TEA CO2 lasers differs significantly from that of long pulses and continuous CO2 lasers. As a result, high definition with perfect edge quality can be achieved.
LightMachinery's LaserMark Series lasers provide fast and reliable application of high quality permanent markings, such as date and lot codes, on consumer product packaging and electronic components. These pulsed CO2 lasers perform the entire marking process in less than 1 µs.
Excimer lasers
IPEX-700
IPEX-800
The IPEX Series lasers provide high UV laser processing power combined with state-of-the-art performance. Utilizing LightMachinery's patented exciPure™ technology, IPEX lasers are characterized by long gas mixture life, excellent optical stability and precise control of laser operating parameters.
EasyClean automatic valves allow the laser chamber to be sealed and remain gas filled while the resonator optics are removed for cleaning and maintenance. IPEX-800 lasers combine the benefits of high precision excimer processing with the highest continuous operation time and lowest total cost of maintenance on the market today.
Spectrometers
HyperFine
HyperFine Brillouin
UltraBright
Hornet
Ultra OSA
HyperFine low-intensity source spectrometers are designed to measure ultra-fine spectra and small spectral shifts from scattered light or distributed sources.
The high throughput allows the HyperFine Brillouin spectrometer to perform fast Brillouin shift measurements that were previously impossible. Changes in sample state can be observed in real time.
LightMachinery's UltraBright spectrometers use a large aperture instead of a spectral slit. These spectrometers are ideal for remote sensing and observing a distant or extended source.
The Hornet series of spectrometers are designed specifically for characterizing the laser spectrum. These spectrometers are capable of achieving resolutions in excess of 30 pm. The Hornet series spectrometers not only offer high resolution, but also cover a large spectral range.
The Ultra OSA optical spectrum analyzer is designed for use in telecommunication systems. With a highly sensitive InGaAs camera and no moving parts, Ultra OSA spectrometers can measure continuous spectra from constant and pulsed sources at 40 Hz.

Thin Wave Plates
Fabry-Perot standards
Optics based on ZnSe, Ge for CO2 lasers, MgF2 and CaF for excimer lasers, as well as fused quartz and BK7 glass for solid-state lasers. It is worth noting that LightMachinery's optical components can withstand prolonged exposure to high-power sources.
These thin wafers are manufactured with high precision and are characterized by parallelism and flatness. Inkjet polishing technology produces thin optical elements with a thickness variation of less than 10 nm and a surface quality of 10/5 S/D.
LightMachinery manufactures the world's best solid and air-blasted standards. Liquid jet polishing systems allow the machining of surfaces with a roughness parameter greater than λ/100. LightMachinery has extensive experience in manufacturing and testing all types of Fabry-Perot standards from 1 mm to 100 mm diameter. These instruments require high quality, flat optical surfaces and extreme parallelism to achieve high performance, so they are well suited for polishing and metrology applications.
