Multispectral flow cytometry and waveform analysis
Flow cytometry (flow cytofluorimetry) is a method for the study of dispersed media in the mode of piece-by-piece analysis of dispersed phase elements by light scattering signals and fluorescence signals.
The name of the method is associated with the main direction of use - the study of single biological cells in the flow. Flow cytometry allows rapid and reliable analysis of multiple characteristics of single cells within heterogeneous cell populations.
Detection equipment
APE presents a modern and very flexible detection system ideally suited for multispectral flow cytometry. Light pulses from labeled cells entering the excitation laser typically carry more information than is used in current commercial cytometers. The multispectral detection system offered by APE collects complete spectral information at the single cell level and provides access to the raw data signals, enabling the detection of hidden information.
Multispectral data analysis
Multispectral detection increases the amount of light collected in flow cytometry, resulting in increased sensitivity, improved detection limit and increased resolution. There is no need to fine-tune the detector configuration for a specific staining panel. Combined with custom algorithms such as FMO control and multivariate data analysis, this results in a highly stable and powerful system.
Integration into commercial cytometers
Connection to standard optical fibers provides easy integration into many existing commercial flow cytometers. The APE multispectral detector platform with detector unit can be equipped with PMT, APD or photodiodes. Carefully designed electronic hardware and a powerful signal processing unit ensure high data quality.
Basic information
